This is basic, but has to be here anyway.
1. NO CHEATING. You all know this. If we catch you doing things like using Photoshop to doctor a score or time, using a game controller to better your odds, having a friend help you spam-post, playing as two people, etc., you will NOT enjoy the laser eyes staring upon you. You may or may not survive, depending on how livid I am and what you do.
2. RESPECT your fellow players. Drama is okay. Blackmailing someone over their actions in the game is okay, but do NOT threaten to reveal a personal secret, call people inappropriate names, or, if you're on the jury, talk to the remaining players about the game. If someone crosses the line, nobody will like what happens. None of us want to deal with Lividmanda, including me.
3. REMEMBER that hosts are human, too. We make mistakes. If you have an issue, please talk to us privately. Do NOT lie about things we did as hosts, accuse us of bias, ask us to be biased, treat us like robots, directly insult us, or threaten to quit. We don't want to deal with any of that, and if we have to, I can guarantee that it's not going to go the way you want it to. I've banned people or stripped them of All-Star spots for those kinds of things before, and am not afraid to do it again if you leave me no choice. If you choose to be reasonable, so will I.
4. TREEMAIL will be posted the night before a challenge. We try to limit live challenges, especially since some people have school, but expect there to be two or three this season. There will be semi-live challenges, too, as well as endurance. Do not expect challenges to be a pushover.
5. TRIBAL COUNCIL will normally last around 24 hours. Votes will not be accepted after the deadline, no exceptions. In case things change, we will NOT read votes early unless they are all in and it is unanimous. Further rules will be posted at Tribal Council for your reference.
6. BE ACTIVE. We do NOT tolerate no-shows. If you self vote once, you will be forced to sit out of the next immunity challenge; if you do not participate in a challenge in any form, unless you are sat out [including by prior self-vote] or are excused, you will self-vote that round at Tribal [but will still compete in the next IC]. If you self vote a second time, you're gone, end of story. To prevent all of this, remember to leave a bootlist! You should know how they work, but if you don't, feel free to ask.
If something will prevent you from accessing the Internet for more than a day, please inform us, and we will arrange Tribal challenges so your participation is not required. If you are unable to compete in an individual challenge, please let us know before the deadline and provide a valid reason for not competing (we will not accept "I'm lazy" or "I'm busy" and those will cause a self-vote). If we do not have advance notice that you will be absent, then we can only assume that you are inactive and what we do with your place in the game is up to us.
7. TIEBREAKER procedure will be as follows: If not all votes are involved in a two-way tie (like a 3-3-2 vote), we will have a revote between the two tied parties; a revote will also be held for a three or four-way tie. Revotes last for 24 hours. If all votes are involved in the tie (for example, a 4-4 vote, even after a revote), a brief challenge will be held between the parties involved. The loser's torch is snuffed.
If one person involved in a tie self-votes, regardless of situation, they forfeit immediately and are voted out - there will be no revote or tiebreaker. If the vote is 4-4-1 with the 1 being the only self-vote, a tiebreaker will be held immediately, and the self-voter will not participate in the next challenge.
As hosts, we have a couple rules for ourselves:
1. All confessional information is private. All votes will remain anonymous until the end of the game, when a voting chart will be released. The only bits of confessionals that will be made public are episode titles, but both the context and who said them will remain secret until endgame.
2. Excluding from rewards, we will NOT give challenge advantages or anything of the sort. We will NOT show bias towards any player, so do not ask. We strive to be fair, objective hosts. If you have an issue, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve it. Once made, our decisions are FINAL and if you badger us over something you disagree with, it will not end well for you. You will receive a penalty vote and, if it continues, you may be removed from the game.
Please do NOT badger the PWs, either. They are staff as well and are also bound by these agreements. PWs are not to start arguments with players or act like Michslut, but are allowed to defend themselves if attacked. Please do not attack them, because Lividmanda will probably get involved too
