First off, I would like to apologize for the lack of puns or alliteration in my thread title. Sorry :[ Next, congrats to both Yau and Anthony. Well done guys. Now on to the questions... Obviously, a huge part of the game was the trinity. From my view, each member of the trinity excelled in one of the three aspects of Survivor, whether it be physical, social, or strategic. Anthony, you obviously were the physical, and Yau I would count you as the social. I want you to explain how your role (based on those aspects) got the trinity as far as it did. Don't mention how well you did in the other areas, just those two specifics, because I'm sure you can talk about your strategy in response to another question. Next, if Jenn weren't a part of the trinity, who would you replace her with and why? Again, don't say the trinity wouldn't have worked without her, just answer the question. Finally, explain why, if you were on the jury, you wouldn't vote for the other person. If any of these need clearing up, just ask Congrats guys, and good luck

Thanks for the congrats Shawna!
My role as physical competitor played a key role in getting Trinity far. First of all, my very first challenge win (together with Jen), brought Jen and myself together. Without that trip to Deception Valley, I'm not sure if things would have gone the same. It created a bond.
Second, my challenge performance gave us a lot of DV items. I've said before that we are not just here because we were item whores. In fact we were item whores, but the good thing about getting all these DV items was that they did not fall into the hands of others. DV items have never really influenced outcomes of votes, but had others, outside of trinity, collected more items, then I don't think we would have been sitting here.
Third, my challenge performance gave us an idol very early on (in round 5). Ultimately it was my idol, but in case of serious trouble it could have been used to benefit YauMan or Jen. It was an extra security, AND it was a very useful piece of information since we knew that three shards would make an idol. That way, both Jen and YauMan were able to get an idol at the Final 6 when YauMan gave his immunity to Courtney. Without my challenge performance, we wouldn't have had this information.
Ideally, I sort of wish there was a chance for Penner to be part my main alliance (or what became my main alliance). There was no chance for him and YauMan to work together in one alliance though. Therefore, it's between Kenny and you. Jen's role was doing a lot of talking, strategizing, and stirring things up. I think both you and Kenny would have been able to take that role. You were really busy around the Final 10 / Final 8 stage though. What we did in those rounds was crucial for getting us far. Hence, I'm going for Kenny.
I think Kenny would have been down with it, I remember that we talked about alliances and how it was hard to form them with the unclear future of the game. He may have been looking for one. What Kenny and myself needed was more trust, more commitment. We never committed to anything, which resulted in him making plans to go after me at some point. In addition, YauMan voted Kenny out. So all we needed was trust and a solid alliance formed early on, and what would have been Trinity² would have worked out well I think.
I feel like a very personal relationship / friendship took control of YauMan's game, and that's when feelings can get hurt. I also play games to have fun and to meet new and interesting people, but the game is still the game and when friendships get more important than the game, other friendships may suffer. I had 100% faith in YauMan and that he would take me to the end (even though he did not promise me anything). He didn't really propose multiple Final 2 deals, that's not my issue. He did, in a pretty personal way, give me the feeling that he would take me, maybe unintentionally. Had I been on the jury, then I probably would have been hurt, not gonna lie. These emotions and him letting friendship take over, may have played a role in my vote. Other than that, I can't really say anything bad about his game, he has played a great game there's no question about it.
I hope this answers your questions; if you have more, let me know

Obviously, a huge part of the game was the trinity. From my view, each member of the trinity excelled in one of the three aspects of Survivor, whether it be physical, social, or strategic. Anthony, you obviously were the physical, and Yau I would count you as the social. I want you to explain how your role (based on those aspects) got the trinity as far as it did. Don't mention how well you did in the other areas, just those two specifics, because I'm sure you can talk about your strategy in response to another question.
I will be the first to admit that Anthony early in the game showed he could be our immunity power house, and with the Big Brother no tribe style of the game I was glad to use my other assets. Naturally I am a social butterfly, constantly fluttering around getting information about where people stood, who they held dear in the game, and that helped the Trinity immensely. Not having the Trinity exposed for a majority of the game (yes some suspected but never really exposed), helped when someone would let it slip that one of us was a target, we were able to immediately guide the vote off of the Trinity and to where our biggest threats were.
Gathering group chats and the illusions of of a majority seemed to steer the votes in our direction. No one wanted to be the vote, and it seemed they were willing to accept a friendly offer of anyone but them. My best bet was to continue to get to know the players outside the Trinity, combined with Anthony and Jens strength tied together to create the very group we led through this game.
Socially nearing the end of the game I knew it would be tricky. I had given my word and tried my damnedest to keep it while remaining honest with the Trinity. I had myself in a situation at final 4, where I was confident I would be sitting here in the finals in any final 3 situation. My goal was not to deceive nor use friendships to do this, but socially being available and taking the time to have those chats put me where I am now.
Next, if Jenn weren't a part of the trinity, who would you replace her with and why? Again, don't say the trinity wouldn't have worked without her, just answer the question.
When the game began not including Jen, my strongest first bonds were with Penner and Anthony. Penner drifted from me early in the game and I am not sure why but he had the potential to be the third member of the Trinity. I actually always looked at the Trinity as four for the longest time. Kenny was just as much a part of our group as anyone else. He just found himself in a crappy situation. I could see Kenny being the third member of the Trinity. I defin. think he had the most potential to form the same strength of a power alliance as Jen, Anthony and myself.
Finally, explain why, if you were on the jury, you wouldn't vote for the other person.
Anthony is viewed as the challenge whore for this season. It has to be wondered how he would have survived if left vulnerable more often or without the social scrambling of Jen and myself. Some people could gather that perhaps he didn't have the same social and vulnerable struggles as I did. I was often open for elimination and had to fight to socially be on top of my game to avoid elimination. For one round I was out of town, and that simple moment away from my computer almost had me sent home. I have nothing but respect for Anthony but I still feel he missed out on a valuable part of struggle, and that is vulnerability.
To Anthony's Response :
I feel like a very personal relationship / friendship took control of YauMan's game, and that's when feelings can get hurt. I also play games to have fun and to meet new and interesting people, but the game is still the game and when friendships get more important than the game, other friendships may suffer. These emotions and him letting friendship take over, may have played a role in my vote. Other than that, I can't really say anything bad about his game, he has played a great game there's no question about it.
Like with my responses to Jen, I apologize if Anthony or the Jury feel that I let "friendships" cloud my game but it is you guys who are taking it that way. I know how to separate them, and I am sorry if anyone got the impression my growing friendships with them guided my game but it did not. I admit to be emotional person, but I have proven time and time again my vulnerability is what drives me to be a good player. If it was about friendship Jen would be sitting here right now. The reason I would not have taken Anthony to the finals, who I also consider a growing friendship is because my F2 word was with both Courtney and Jen and not him. I wasn't about to go smearing more deals in the name of someone I did ultimately trust. Much Love Anthony!!!

For one round I was out of town, and that simple moment away from my computer almost had me sent home. I have nothing but respect for Anthony but I still feel he missed out on a valuable part of struggle, and that is vulnerability. I see what you mean. That one round though, when you were out of town, I fought the hardest for you to stay. I was talking to Courtney, PMing Shawna, using a prize as extra security, lying to Brenda, and staying up until very late just to make sure everything was going fine. Even when being immune I felt vulnerable, not personally, but vulnerable for losing you or Jen. I felt like all three of us were a crucial part of each others games. Well, I get that, but then, were you lying to me? You have said at one instance that you would vote Courtney or Jen had Shawna won F5 immunity. You also told me about having these Final 2 offers and told me that you would take me over Jen. You never called it a Final 2 deal, but we never officially called the Trinity an alliance either. So yeah, you did make me feel like you were all for us two in the final 2. It's fine though, if it's not about friendships or anything then no worries. In the end it helped you in getting here so it's all game and I understand.
