Hello, the infamous Jonathan Penner is here and ready to razzle, dazzle and azzle you in all kinds of other ways!
The game looks great and I have started on a great foot, I believe. I have got around to speaking with Yau Man and Anthony and I enjoy them both. I think I get along with them on a social level, but we'll see how it pans out.
For now I just plan to be as social, nice, and make people as unsuspecting as possible. When people are looking for allies, I want to be the name that pops into their head and they think "Well he's a swell guy, I want to work with him." And you better be damn sure I will agree and work with you back.
“Never reveal all of yourself to other people; hold back something in reserve so that people are never quite sure if they really know you.”
This is a quote I'll live by this game. Only reveal what is needed to make people think they understand you and want to work with you, but never reveal the true intentions. I'm a very intricate guy and I'd like to think I'm some sorts of mastermind. I feel if people knew every last thought that would run through my mind in the course of this game, I would bet I'd be the first boot out of here.
I'm not looking to make friends, but allies are a must in a game like this. Whatever can advance me another round, I will do.
Hoist up the mast and let this ship sail. We're headed forward into uncharted territory. Who knows what lies ahead, just be sure, no matter what, to come out alive.

For reference: you may also ask me any questions. I love to have interaction and it helps tremendously build my confidence as well as aids my writing in here. It is also welcomed as it lets me know I have readers- that's always something to boost moral. Thanks for letting me get my spot back and play Amanda! I really do appreciate it. (Guess I must win now, huh?)

Very insightful. In a villainous sort of way. And you're quite welcome! We had a bit of a casting crisis anyway, and you returning resolved it. You already seem active so As for questions... anyone you have in mind for allies? Or is it too early to tell?

I am not a villain!! [sweet smile]
Splendid!!
Not quite yet. I do like Anthony though. Yau Man might need a bit of getting used to, but I think I can warm up to him.

Good to know. Are you normally crazy?
Well since I haven't read anything about it, I can't really be excited for it. But I am slightly intrigued I suppose, but excited wouldn't be the word.

I meant you speak very soothingly. Unlike going on a crazy rant. Was not referring to myself. lol

I continue to speak with Anthony on a personal level. Since there is no game to be played at this point in time, I take it as a grand opportunity to get into personal matters and build a relationship that way.
Relationships in the game can mean a lot more than alliances at times. On the contrary, allies you are bound to, friendships are simply friendships. You see people vote friends out in games all the time, even ones that are created before the game ever happened, so to expect friendships would bring me further would be a rookie mistake.
But, nonetheless, making friendships can open up many doors and, depending on the person you are dealing with, friendships can take precedence over allies. I strike Anthony to be one of those people- personal, looking to make friends, not make enemies; I like him.
I do need to be wary as people might very well have their happy and endearing faces at forefront, but once the games begin, that mask could whip right off and the true colors will begin to permeate through the skin.
Conclusion- I must keep at this social game because it will really help me in the short game (at the beginning) and will sure benefit me later on. I am out tonight so I will not be here once the challenge commences, but whatever this challenge may be, I will try my hardest to make up for lost time, if at all possible. But if I build the friendships and relationships now, make myself known and likable, then not being here for the beginning of the challenge might not hinder me so much. Only time will tell about the trials you shall face. For in the end, you will see, it was just time, and only time, that set your place.

I really love how intricately you weave your words. I can do that too... when I am in the right mood. I may have an English degree but that doesn't mean I can always write like that. I like doing that for lists of judging criteria for creative challenges xD
So as of now... you're avoiding the word "alliance" because of the unknown future? Any guesses as to what we have in store?

Why thank you! I have began to realize I am quite particular about how I like things to look and sound. I, of course, like to carry myself in a way I see fashionable and this is what I find fashionable and how I believe I want to be seen. Plus, playing Penner allows for kind of talk like this so it also makes it fun! HA! Well, then we shall have many fun times in this thread. This is assuming you keep coming back. But you are the Host and aside from that, I have a hinting feeling that you enjoy this thread a bit already. As long as I can continue to entertain you guys I feel I have done my duties. I can only hope I can produce in terms of the game and not leave you disheartened. Ah, not entirely avoiding as much as being wary of how I use it. Because I do find it to be quite a powerful word in the game of Survivor and discharging it so loosely could send anyone down a bad road. Claiming alliances that aren't is dangerous. People could see it as a weakness. But to answer your question- Yes, the unknown future is always scary. And you have left the door so completely wide open that the possibilities of what's to come is pretty indefinite.

A few things:
1. I just noticed the confessional descriptions! Those are awesome, but Kenny's is my favorite. Super Smash Bros is an amazing game! Lucas is where it's at!!!
2. I feel as though Yau Man is trying desperately hard to paint that nasty sack of brittle asian bones to be something libidinous. I mean, look at the poor soul, he has nothing going for him. But if he's going to continue to act like that, I must put my sweet, smiling face at forefront and just go with it.
So far I have had a small interaction with him; says he has kids? I feel bad for those children; they have a wanna-be sex goddess for a father. ( ._.)
