Okay, time for results!
Your judges:
First order of business. Courtney did not submit a story, but contacted me in advance about a family emergency. She updated me yesterday morning, and there was no way I was going to make her do this challenge given what was going on. I'm not going to say what that is, but I will say that she is completely excused and will not be self-voting. She's also extremely exhausted, so if you want to talk to her about the vote, I'd recommend PMing her.
Now... results were REALLY close. I was impressed with all of you in one way or another.
The average score was 158 points. Out of 200. Which is wonderful.
The scores are also incredibly close. You all did really well!
In fifth place with 146 points...
...Anthony
Wow.
Anthony, we liked your story, but it didn't feel original, and it felt more like an introduction than a complete story.
In fourth place with 148 points...
Shawna
Again, we liked it, but there were a few things you didn't explain that left us confused. We liked your method of Storytelling but questioned how related to the game it was, and we also didn't like that you didn't have a title...
That brings us down to Brenda, Jen, and Yau-Man.
This was VERY VERY CLOSE!
Jen scored 165 points
Yau-Man scored...
169 points!
Did Brenda have enough points to beat that?
Nope.
YAU-MAN WINS IMMUNITY!
Brenda, your story scored really well all-around, but there were some confusing points and your theme wasn't the most original ever. It was still really good!
Jen, opinions on your story were mixed. It made two of us feel uncomfortable while the other two loved it. Your storytelling was fantastic and your effort was very clear, but having a cannibalistic story here isn't exactly something universally appealing, and that cost you entertainment points.
Yau-Man, we all enjoyed your story, but the unexpected ending was met with mixed reviews in that it got very... out of character. Despite that, the first half was amazing and was a key reason why you ended up winning. Congrats
FINAL SCORES:
Yau-Man: 169 points = 42.25 average
Jen: 165 points = 41.25 average
Brenda: 164 points = 41 average
Shawna: 148 points = 37 average
Anthony: 146 points = 36.5 average
Tribal will be up in a bit!
