Episode #5: A snake

Just getting this started, so I can easily post my thoughts here when something comes up. I don't have too much to say right now. The title of this episode obviously refers to Hatch telling Courtney I brought her name up for the last vote. I wonder what else he's been doing to stir trouble.

The plan this round will be to kick Richard out of the game. Jen's all for it, and hopefully we can get people to vote with us. I may use some items for this as this is mainly my concern as Hatch's been doing that dirt to me. That's really not cool.

In addition to that I'm trying to give my all in the immunity challenge. I'm hoping to win a shard with that sliding puzzle, I'm OK at them and got lucky on one of my tries. Winning immunity is not priority number one, but keeping it out of Ace's hands would be nice. I don't want him to go to Deception and give his stuff to Hatch, because Hatch must go at all cost.

I'm having a LONG conversation with Angie now. Just talking everything through, cleared everything up. That feels really good. We basically hadn't talked game since Michael left, just because I felt bad about the whole situation and thought it was better to keep some distance. We talked it through though and it's good for the trust and friendship between the two of us.

First of all I asked her if she had heard any rumors about me bringing people's names up. She said no, so that's good. Then she told me her position in the game and that she thought her vote didn't matter to anyone (she voted Brianna when Colton left). Then I apologized for what happened during the Michael vote AND told her that everyone was like "we keep this a secret from Angie and Alicia". She appreciated me telling her at least that Mike's name was brought up, she was glad we had that level of trust. I explained why I didn't want to throw people under the bus who had been lying to her. Then we talked about Deception. We basically know what's going on now, she also gave her prize to YauMan, that's good. YauMan didn't tell me anything about getting anything from Angie, which worries me a little bit, but at least YauMan has this prize and not someone like Richard or Ace. I guaranteed Angie that if her name is brought up that she will know. She will do the same for me.

Look, it wasn't bad at all. Someone just had to start that conversation, and we're on the same page again. This was needed, because I felt like we were drifting apart. People are no longer targeting her hard-core like in previous rounds, so having this bond with her won't hurt me too much anymore. Especially since Brianna was taken out. So I felt like this was the right time to clear the air and have this conversation. Now, if she's targeted this round, then of course I'm gonna do some work for her because I want Hatch to go. I'm sure Angie will be on board with that, so that's one more vote on the good side

I did lie to people about my times in the challenges so far by the way I'm not gonna tell them the exact time I have because that may hurt my chances at a shard. I'll just say that I managed to improve my old score.

Wow what a round! Ace is gone, I can barely believe it. This round has not been the best for confessionals, but for my game this wasn't bad at all.

I was so scared of Ace, and I never thought people were going to send him home. Especially when everyone was saying Richard before the challenge results were up. Supposedly Shawna has brought up Ace's name as the alternative. I'm not exactly sure what the reasoning behind that was. Maybe he was just too much of a threat (I agree). So first thing that happened: Ace, Brenda, and Chelsea are playing with the idea of booting Angie because she is too close to me. That is really ridiculous, but I'm kind of happy that Angie is targeted while three of my other allies, YauMan, Jen, and Penner are off the radar. It's great to see that YauMan and Jen, without my input, are doin so much work to keep Angie in the game and to see the vote shifting to Richard and later Ace. At some point the vote was going between Richard and Ace, and YauMan and Jen were all worried and talking about using items. That to me didn't sound good at all, and I told them. Why waste items when, if the plan to blindside Ace fails, Richard is going home? That didn't make sense to me.

It bothers me that people decide on these things in group chats when I'm not around, but I'll have to deal with that. Usually, when there are tribes, this is not too much of an issue for me. Now, with this huge tribe, I do consider at an issue. I shouldn't complain though as I have enough many connections with good people who will do what is good for them and good for me. I'm really happy with the connections I've made so far in fact.

So two rounds in a row people who want me gone have been voted out. That's good. Next person should be Chelsea, as she is close to getting an idol. I mean, apparently three shards is an idol, yay! I have one. So far, only YauSmurf and Jen know that I have the idol. I felt like I SHOULD tell them, even if I didn't want to do that. They must know it though. I don't want them to find out that I withheld information for them when they directly asked me. If Penner or Angie ask, I may tell them I have it as well.

Last but not least, I should mention something about Rich and Penner. Rich talked to me the other day, just after YauSmurf told me about the Ace vote. I lied to Rich and said I had not heard anything about the vote. I lied to Rich when he asked me if Courtney is after him. I lied. He deserved that, I think, but I kind of feel like I should have a good conversation with him about what happened. He actually seems like an OK-guy and I would like to know his side of the story that Courtney told me. I don't think Courtney made that up, but to talk to Richard and say that I don't like what he did may actually break the ice between the two of us and do some good. Then later I talked to Penner, and I must say that at the start of the conversation it was just so awkward. I really didn't know what to tell him and what not to tell him. In the end I think I did ok with saying the right things. I complained to him about Richard (they talk), so he at least knows why I'm wary of him. We talked a bit about the future and Penner said he is interested in getting Courtney or Kenny out next round. I'd be up for that actually. He's wary of YauMan which isn't good... but at least we talked and I am interested to see if there's a way for him and Richard to become my Plan B.

I will totally be a double dealer and at some point it may put me in a really awkward position as people will figure it out, but my first priority should be to stay in the game and to make sure my closest friends in the game are safe as well. If that forces me to form close bonds with people who are against each other then so be it. I don't form these bonds on purpose, they just come my way.
