Just posting this in case any of you get on to judge before morning Grading rubric: - Originality [10 points]: Is the story a refreshing bath in an original reality, or is it a rabble of clichs or overdone constituents seen previously? - Believability [10 points]: Is the story a sensible chain of events or a broken fog machine which covers endless oddities? Do the characters act in realistic believance or as headless chickens? - Grammar and Effort [10 points]: Is the story a feasible submission to an English professor, or is it a first-grade scribble upon which would be looked down? Was a fair duration spent laboring, or was it a last-minute scrap? - Entertainment [10 points]: Is the story a surge of endearing enjoyment or an endless bore of drying paint? - Relation to the game [10 points]: Does the scripture make a visible connection to the game at hand, or does it delve into unrelated nonsense? Courtney did not submit a story. She had a family emergency and thus has been unable to even get on much. She will not receive a self vote. Any PW can judge. Parvati, Erik, myself, and DD should all be on tomorrow. Only one PW needs to judge! First come first serve.

Sadly, I won't be able to judge. I got very sick towards the end of the week and I can't focus on reading stuff for too long -_-

Anthony: -Originality: 6/10. Nothing really sticks out about his idea. There doesn't seem to be that much of a plot. -Believability: 8/10. A mirage that hardcore is... a bit hard to believe. Otherwise, everything else is fine. -Grammar and Effort: 7/10. Lower than the others. There were definitely a few grammatical issues, but I'm being lenient since his mother tongue isn't English. -Entertainment: 6/10. A few moments made me laugh, like when he got horny from seeing us three and that Sash was a lie. Aside from that, uh, not much. -Relation to the game: 8/10. Really only serves as an introduction, rather than dealing with developing the game itself. It's related, it just isn't a take-off on events that happened, just a starting point that's leading to them. TOTAL: 35/50
Anthony's is the epitome of averageness. That's really all I have to say.
Brenda: -Originality: 7/10. Definitely more creative than Anthony's, but Dracula is something that is done all the time... -Believability: 8/10. A few things don't make much sense, but the plot does. -Grammar and Effort: 10/10. Brenda said she went through a lot of different stories, yet still put a lot of effort into this one. How much time does she have? -Entertainment: 10/10. I LOVED THIS. I loved how Courtney, Jen, and Shawna were the brides of Dracula. -Relation to the game: 9/10. The kind of thing we're expecting. Absolutely hilarious. TOTAL: 44/50
This one was a lot of fun. Better than the original Dracula! (which bored me to tears)
Jen: -Originality: 8/10. Original but creepy. -Believability: 5/10. In no way would I ever suggest that... I mean, really. We have brains, why aren't we using them? -Grammar and Effort: 10/10. A lot of effort went into this. -Entertainment: 3/10. I'm sorry, but reading this made me really uncomfortable. I couldn't even get through the whole thing, knowing that people I like would die for FOOD. Cannibalism is not classy, and it's not something I enjoy reading about. It's not like a murder mystery... now those are entertaining. This was just disturbing and not fun at all to read. -Relation to the game: 9/10. Bit too violent, but... TOTAL:35/50
I wish I could give her bonus points for effort, but I see this as a victim of "Not everyone enjoys everything." It's too uncomfortable for me. I am being a bit nice with my scores considering how little I enjoyed it, but that's me seeking to give her the fairest score possible for the work she put into it. She'll probably win anyway, even with me not liking it.
Shawna: -Originality: 6/10. Interesting, um, plot, but, uh, I really have no idea on a lot of things: 1) The significance of the stone, 2) what the "murder" was about, 3) who was after the stone (me?)... the idea is there, but it isn't fleshed out. Also needs a title. -Believability: 5/10. Again, same issues as above. I can't believe this story because there aren't enough clarifications for me to even get an idea what it's about. -Grammar and Effort: 8/10. Time was spent on this, making sure everything was in order, but not to the same extent that Jen, Yau-Man, or Brenda spent. -Entertainment: 6/10. Meh, not very special. -Relation to the game: 6/10. Loosely connects to post-game, but doesn't go farther than that. It's loose, but it's there. TOTAL: 31/50
I really don't have much to say. I'm not going to remember this one.
Yau-Man: -Originality: 7/10. Strikes me as a LOST takeoff. Been there, done that. -Believability: 6/10. Hated the ending. How am I evil? It made sense until then. -Grammar and Effort: 9/10. LOAD of effort, but a few grammar issues and things that are confusing to me. LA or LM? Isn't it LividManda? -Entertainment: 8/10. Had fun reading most of it... then the "Death" stuff happened and just made me WTF. -Relation to the game: 9/10. What we're expecting. TOTAL: 39/50
Yau did pretty well, but that ending just... irked me. Perhaps that's because I'm me. It's also a bit too much like LOST in terms of how people behave and go insane by being separated...
Overall, I was mostly impressed. Brenda's is the best in my eyes, followed by Yau and Jen, though Jen's made me really really uneasy and that cost her points. Anthony and Shawna were both average. At least they weren't horrible!
I am so glad Angie got banned already, because she'd have pulled a Kelly C. with this.

Stealing DD's format (thanks). Anthony: - Originality [10 points]: 4 - Believability [10 points]: 9 - Grammar and Effort [10 points]: 8 - Entertainment [10 points]: 4 - Relation to the game [10 points]: 10 TOTAL: 35/50 The story was definitely related to the game, was believable and was well-written; however, it was pretty boring. It seemed more of an intro to a story than an actual story. Brenda: - Originality [10 points]: 8 - Believability [10 points]: 6 - Grammar and Effort [10 points]: 7 - Entertainment [10 points]: 7 - Relation to the game [10 points]: 10 TOTAL: 38/50 Overall I liked this. There were a couple of places where I had to re-read to understand what she was saying and I'm not sure I believe a china plate can break chains open, lol. I do like how she was very frank about where she stands in relation to everyone left. Jen: - Originality [10 points]: 10 - Believability [10 points]: 9 - Grammar and Effort [10 points]: 9 - Entertainment [10 points]: 10 - Relation to the game [10 points]: 10 TOTAL: 48/50 I loved this. She drew me in and kept me entertained. I thought she did a great job of incorporating the events of the game into an interesting story. The dialogue was a nice touch. They probably wouldn't need to consume an entire human body in one night but it seemed necessary in order to align with the game. There were also some mixed tenses but not a huge distraction. Shawna: - Originality [10 points]: 10 - Believability [10 points]: 10 - Grammar and Effort [10 points]: 10 - Entertainment [10 points]: 9 - Relation to the game [10 points]: 8 TOTAL: 47/50 Extremely well-written and entertaining. I liked her originality - she didn't try to make the story fit perfectly into the format of Survivor yet she did relate it to the characters of this game. I really liked the perspective she used with the old woman telling the story and the ending was good. I couldn't find anything wrong with it. *Edit: LOL I thought the two stones had some game significance that I didn't know about. I didn't read the judges' comments before scoring but now I see that was just as confusing to me as Amanda. That being said, I've edited her scores. I still liked it, I just wish she would have explained the stones. Yau: - Originality [10 points]: 8 - Believability [10 points]: 9 - Grammar and Effort [10 points]: 10 - Entertainment [10 points]: 8 - Relation to the game [10 points]: 10 TOTAL: 45/50 This was very good and well-written but I did find my mind wandering a bit while I was reading. It came close to being a narrative of the game but he did manage to add enough interest with his theme and unexpected ending.

Very close, yeah. Very unexpected also.
I was hoping to wait for Parvati, and I'm not too happy with her right now. She told me yesterday she'd be on to judge despite her home's power cable being shredded...
Parvati, you'd better watch yourself!

Also, I'm starting to get better! Yay no more migraines!
Word of advice: if you've ever had chicken pox, TRY NOT TO STRESS OUT TOO MUCH. That's how I got shingles so early. Trust me. It's a LOT more painful when you get it at a younger age!!

I just heard a commercial about that. I didn't really know what shingles were before.
